Winter Sky Falling
This is a time-lapse video of the night sky over Mt. Sobaek, which was taken when I was staying at SOAO, Sobaek Optical Astronomical Observatory, Jan 28, 2012. The tail-like shapes are not meteors; they are just the digital effect. A bright meteor can be seen near the peak ahead at 1 min, and another fainter meteors also can be seen. Trails moving slowly and not following the one which the entire stars are making are those of air-crafts or satellites.
It was made from 957 photos taken from the midnight till the early morning. Notice the flashlights of hikers approaching along the mountain trails.
